The body ( Rupa ) , O Bhikkhus , is soulless ( Anatta ) .If , O Bhikkhus ,there were in this a soul .( i.e , a permanent unchanging " entity " or " ego " created by God , or emanating from Paamatma) , then this body would not be subject to ill ." Let this body be thus , let this body be not thus. " Such possibilities would also exist .But ,O Bhikkhus, in as much as this body is soulless it is subject to ill, and no possibility exists for ( commanding the body from within ) saying ; let this be so, let this not be so."
